We are finished our second week of lessons and still settling into our routine. The kids are adjusting to working on assignments (with some encouragement from Mom). We made a few changes up to our first day of homeschool. Like some of you, we were still “sitting on the fence” deciding on our picks for curriculum. If you have been waiting, make sure not to pass up these deals before they end.
We had a fairly short week as we took Labor day off to spend with family and friends. This week had its ups and downs.
When I was very young, our family drove every Sunday to my Grandparents home. My Father always reminded us the importance of family, showing us how in little ways we could celebrate his parents being in our lives.
We have an opportunity as a homeschooling family to explore our children’s interests in learning and gaining knowledge about the world as well as developing their character as individuals. It is our hope as parents, we are leaving our children an understanding of the importance of being as stewards of our world.

This week marked our first week of our new home school year, taking time to settle into our new routine after a long summer.
We are still working on our curriculum picks after reviewing and giving careful consideration to each child’s interest. Over the summer, I thought I was done with our choices; however there were a few young voices heard and I could not help but take a second look.
